Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before visiting Zanzibar – and about our services.
Is Zanzibar safe for tourists?
Yes, Zanzibar is very safe for tourists. The local people are
welcoming, and the main tourist areas (Stone Town, Nungwi, Kendwa)
have good security. However, take normal precautions: don't walk
alone at night on isolated beaches and keep valuables safe.
Do I need a visa for Zanzibar?
Most nationalities can get a visa on arrival at Zanzibar airport (or
Tanzania mainland). It costs around $50 USD. You can also apply
online for an e‑visa before travel. We recommend checking with your
local Tanzanian embassy.
What is the best time to visit Zanzibar?
The best time is June to October (dry season) and December to
February (warm and sunny). The long rains are March–May, but you can
still get good deals and fewer crowds.
Do you offer airport pickup?
Absolutely. We provide 24/7 airport transfers from Zanzibar
International Airport (ZNZ) to anywhere on the island. Our driver
will meet you with a name sign, help with luggage, and take you
safely to your hotel.
Can I customise a tour?
Yes! We specialise in tailor‑made itineraries. Tell us what you like
– beaches, history, food, adventure – and we'll create a private
tour just for you, at your pace.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash (USD or Tanzanian Shillings), bank transfer, and
mobile money (M‑Pesa, Tigo Pesa). A deposit may be required for
extended tours. Credit cards are not accepted directly on our site,
but we can arrange payments via secure link.
Are your guides fluent in English?
All our guides speak excellent English. Many also speak Italian,
French, German, and Spanish. We'll match you with a guide that fits
your language preference.
What should I pack for Zanzibar?
Light clothing, swimwear, sunscreen, insect repellent, a hat, and
modest clothes for visiting Stone Town and villages. Don't forget
your camera and a reusable water bottle!
